Submission Guidelines

We are currently accepting manuscripts for submission and are especially in the market for novels and young adult fiction. Science fiction and fantasy are always welcome. In nonfiction, we will consider essay collections and imaginative and outstanding memoirs, with a strong platform. We are not accepting scholarly works or illustrated children's books at this time.

If you would like to publish with WiDo, please email in pdf. format the first three chapters of your manuscript to submissions@widopublishing.com. In your emailed cover letter or query, please include something about yourself and about your work, as well as your contact information, including address and phone number.

You may also submit your typed, double spaced, thoroughly edited manuscript to:

WiDo Publishing, Acquisitions Editor
P.O. Box 22675
Salt Lake City, UT 84122

All work submitted will be carefully reviewed. If we like the sample chapters, we request the full manuscript mailed to us for further consideration. If we accept it for publication, you will be offered a contract. On receipt of the signed contract, you will be assigned an editor to work with you throughout the sometimes rigorous editing process. Our books are thoroughly edited to meet the high standard WiDo sets for its publications. They are then aggressively marketed to its particular demographic, involving the author in this process. For retail distribution, we use Brigham Distributing.

Our editors are seeking manuscripts that have a spark of originality, a pleasing voice, and a well-thought-out, compelling story. We like authors who are as eager as we are to work hard to make the book wonderful and then promote it with pride.

We expect every author to come prepared with a marketing plan outlining the specific ways they intend to promote their book. Even a work of fiction needs a platform that can be maximized for promotion.

We are excited by a work that has the potential to become a modern classic, that merits promotion beyond its initial two years. Such a manuscript will stand out from the stack of submissions and cause us to take notice.

If you have a completed manuscript that seems to fit these criteria, we would love to hear from you.
